(Laval) For the very first time, the Service de police de Laval (SPL) carried out an operation related to the sale of narcotics online, which led to the arrest of three alleged criminals aged 21, 29 and 33 years old.
The investigation was initiated last year by the Organized Crime squad thanks to information received from the public. Investigators discovered a scheme for the sale and delivery of cannabis in various forms, operated from a website put online by the suspects.
On April 12, search warrants were obtained for two vehicles, three residences and commercial establishments located in Laval, Montreal and Blainville.
SPL officers seized tens of thousands of grams of cannabis in various forms, cocaine, crack cocaine, crystal meth, tobacco, vaping devices and two vehicles worth $60,000.
Of the three suspects arrested, two were interviewed by investigators and released pending further legal proceedings.
