Three people were found unresponsive in a dwelling in the Rosemont district on Friday morning in Montreal. Police say they are currently investigating “three suspicious deaths.”
A large police intervention was underway from the start of the day, at the corner of BĂ©langer and Viau streets. Several patrol vehicles were on site. The Major Crimes Section of the SPVM was tasked with conducting an investigation.
According to our information, a person deemed “suspicious” by the investigators was arrested not far from the scene.
The identity or ages of three victims in this case are not yet known. However, their death was pronounced directly on the spot.
The scene takes place right in front of the Montreal Heart Institute. A vast security perimeter is in place on Belanger Street, between Viau Street and 40th Avenue. Several paramedics were also called to the scene.
