The former Berlin Senator for Economic Affairs and Green Party politician Ramona Pop will be the new head of the Federal Association of Consumer Organizations (vzbv). “Especially in times of crisis, strong consumer protection is of great importance and gives people security,” said the 44-year-old on Monday in a statement from the association. On July 1, Pop is to take over the function as board member from Jutta Gurkmann, who temporarily managed the association after the departure of long-standing board member Klaus Müller.
