With electro beats or your favorite song, under the tree or in the church: around 25 couples have registered for a pop-up wedding festival at the Genezareth Church in Berlin-Neukölln this weekend. The appointments are fully booked, said Pastor Susann Kachel from the blessing office in Berlin on Monday.

As part of the Evangelische Kirchenkreis Neukölln, the Segensbüro organizes the event on Saturday (May 21), where people can easily get married. Couples could have registered by Sunday and chosen a desired date, said tile.

A couple wanted to get married in a civil ceremony on the Saturday themselves and then catch up on the church wedding. However, according to the pastor, couples can also say “I do” spontaneously under a wedding arch on Saturday.
