Two men were seriously injured in the crash of an aircraft in Saint-Rémi, Montérégie, Friday evening. In its fall, the small plane struck two residences, electrical wires and a vehicle.

The accident occurred around 7:30 p.m. Friday in the area of ​​rue de l’Eglise, in Montérégie.

According to preliminary information from the Sûreté du Québec, a small aircraft crashed, first hitting a first residence. He would have continued on his way in electric wires before hitting a parked vehicle, then a second residence.

On board were two men in their thirties. They were seriously injured in the crash and transported between life and death to hospital.

The reasons that led to the fall of the aircraft are not known at this stage, said Catherine Bernard, spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).

Residents of the two affected homes escaped unscathed, Bernard said. Police officers from the SQ’s Major Crimes Investigation Division will lead the investigation in collaboration with the Transportation Safety Board of Canada.
