Chiefs’ star quarterback, Tom Brady, had nothing but praise for his teammate .

Patrick Mahomes connected to Travis Kelce on Thursday for a game-winning touchdown play that lifted the Kansas City Chiefs above the Los Angeles Chargers, 34-28.

When the Chiefs were at the Chargers 34 yard line, Mahomes discovered Kelce running across the middle from the 30-yard line. To cap off a stellar night, the tight end broke two tackles and ran through several Chargers defenses to score a touchdown.

Kelce had ten catches for 191 yards, and two touchdowns. His touchdown in the fourth quarter set up a successful 2-point conversion attempt to tie it.

After the game, Mahomes stated that Kelce’s speed should not be underestimated.

Mahomes stated, “That was a very special moment in general.” “I don’t believe I’ve ever been part a walk-off touchdown. To be there, you have to find him underneath. He made such a dynamic play, where he ran by people and cut back. He’d be mistaken for thinking he is old and can’t run with people. But he still runs by people and got to the finish line. It was a very special moment, and it’s a testament to all the hard work he has put in each day.

“I think what I’ve seen in Travis just over the last few years is the maturity to know that it’s not just the numbers, it’s about winning football games. I think this year has been big for him where he hasn’t put up the same numbers, but his mentality has never changed. He’s been a leader on this team. He’s happier for anyone other than himself. When his number gets called, he goes out there and makes plays in big moments. That’s what special players do. He’s a special player. I’m glad he’s on my team.”

Kansas City moved to 10-4 on the season with the win and appear to have shut down all the doubters that cropped up early in the season.
