An organ version of the controversial party hit “Layla” has gone viral on social media. A musician – his main job as a teacher – had played the song during the shooting fair in the Catholic church in Welschen Ennest (North Rhine-Westphalia), as reported by local media.

The Mallorca singer and producer of the hit, Ikke Hipgold, shared a video of the performance on TikTok with the comment “A reason to go back to church”.

The post has now been viewed 1.8 million times and liked more than 200,000 times. Many of the approximately 2,500 comments come from the organist’s students who “celebrate” their teacher.
