New KHL President elected Alexei Morozov

two-time world champion Alexei Morozov was elected the President of the Continental hockey League. He replaced on this post of Dmitry Chernyshenko, who took the post of Vice-Premier in the Russian government.

Dmitry Chernyshenko, who served as President of the KHL in 2014, has resigned after his appointment to the government. The Board of Directors of the League unanimously elected the new President Alexei Morozov.

Alexei Morozov, who on 16 February, will celebrate 43 years, the famous Russian hockey player, silver medalist of the Olympic games-1998 in Nagano, the two-time winner of the Gagarin Cup as part of Kazan “AK Bars”. In 2014, Alexei finished his playing career and served as Vice-President of the KHL for the development of youth hockey.
