(Montreal) More than 10,000 Hydro-Quebec customers found themselves without electricity on Sunday morning.

The regions of Lanaudière and Montérégie are the most affected, with respectively nearly 4,000 and 3,000 customers without power around 2 p.m., according to the Info-pannes website.

Several outages began shortly after midnight due to equipment failure.

It is unclear whether weather conditions were the cause of the outages.

A snow warning is in progress in several regions of Quebec, where 15 to 25 centimeters are expected by Sunday morning.

In Ontario, high winds knocked out more than 21,000 power customers Saturday night.
