The negotiations between him and Federal Minister of Justice Marco Buschmann (FDP) had begun, Lauterbach said after receiving a report on the evaluation of the previous Corona requirements on Friday in Berlin.

“We work constructively and very quickly in confidentiality, and we have to be well prepared for the fall,” says Lauterbach. The citizens rightly expected that all the instruments would then be at hand to be able to deal with an autumn wave “which I expect to be a severe autumn wave”. Lauterbach said the endemic state has not yet been reached, that is, a state in which the virus is permanently present. In Germany there is currently a “real summer wave”. “The summer wave will probably not end by itself,” says Lauterbach.
