What’s going on at Hertha BSC? Everything about it here in the blog.

Big victory for Hertha BSC in the first friendly of the pre-season: The Bundesliga soccer club won 7-0 (4-0) in Kienbaum against TuS Makkabi, coached by Wolfgang Sandhowe. The goals before the break were scored by Davie Selke (12’/penalty kick, 17′), Marco Richter (18′) and Filip Uremovic (36′). In the second half, Darry Scherhant (69′), Santiago Ascacibar (78′) and Vladimir Darida (86′) scored.

Of the three newcomers so far, Uremovic and goalkeeper Tjark Ernst were in the starting XI. In the second half, coach SandroSchwarz sent a completely new team onto the pitch, including JonjoeKenny, the third newcomer.

“We saw two decent halves. I also liked the second half, although we scored one goal less. We had a good structure overall and scored well-played goals. That’s why it was a decent performance,” said Schwarz.

Hertha is still in the training camp in Kienbaum up to and including Friday, the second test match is on the program on Saturday. The Berliners play at 4 p.m. at the regional league team SV Babelsberg 03 in the Karl Liebknecht Stadium.

That should have been it from the City Cube. I wish you all a nice rest of Sunday!
