During a robbery in Berlin-Marzahn, a jeweler was seriously injured by the perpetrator with a knife. The robber was then able to escape without loot on Thursday morning, as the police announced on Friday. The robber therefore entered the jewelry store on Mehrower Allee, threatened the 62-year-old shopkeeper with a knife and demanded money.

The jeweler refused to hand it over when, according to the police, the perpetrator suddenly stabbed and sprayed his victim’s tear gas in the face. The injured man was taken to the hospital and underwent emergency surgery. (dpa)
