Most recently, he moderated the Lets Dance finale on RTL after Daniel Hartwich failed. Previously, he was seen in numerous RTL formats such as “Ninja Warrior” and “Take me out”. Now Jan Köppen will be the new jungle camp moderator alongside his colleague Sonja Zietlow. The broadcaster announced this on Saturday.
He seems to have been waiting for this: “Finally jungle! I thought Aunt RTL never knocked and asked,” he tells the broadcaster. “But seriously: I’m really looking forward to the show, the biggest German TV campfire – and of course to my esteemed colleague Sonja and the team from ITV Studios. It’s going to be awesome, never be cold again in January!”
His colleague Zietlow is also looking forward to working together: “Thanks to his moderation of ‘Ninja Warrior’, I’m not worried about Jan’s suitability for hanging bridges. If he can get by with little sleep, night shifts and myself, he deserves the title ‘suitable for the jungle’,” she says.
