Kirovsky district court of Novosibirsk in closed session has chosen the measure of restraint for a citizen of Uzbekistan, who is suspected of financing of terrorism.
“given the identity of the suspect, who, being a citizen of another state, stayed in the territory of the Russian Federation with violation of the Federal laws “On the procedure for exit from Russian Federation and entry into the Russian Federation” and “On legal status of foreign citizens in the Russian Federation”, nature charged with suspicion of committing a serious crime, the court came to the conclusion on necessity of election of a measure of restraint in form of detention because the suspect might abscond from the investigation and trial, to engage in criminal activity, otherwise obstruct the criminal proceedings”, — stated on the court’s website.
