Russia has allocated more than 100 strains of coronavirus. This was announced today by Deputy Prime Minister Tatiana Golikova at meeting of coordination Council under the Russian government to combat the spread of coronavirus.

— After the advent of the first patients in the country, Russian scientists have identified strains of coronavirus. They now have more than 100, — quotes its RIA “Novosti”.

Deputy Prime Minister added that domestic models have become an important contribution to the global monitoring of the variability of this virus.

Previously, foreign scholars said that there are three “variants” of coronavirus. Most likely, it was meant Clyde — groups of closely related strains of the virus. According to virologists, it will continue to mutate. Most likely, over time, the virus will become more infectious and less lethal.
