Their first glimpse at their creative partnership was Terror on the Prairie. This trailer was released tonight with a 60-second preview. Terror on the Prairie was directed by Michael Polish ( Northfork and Twin Falls Idaho), from a Josiah Nelson script. The story centers around a family who fights back against vicious outlaws bent on revenge. Carano stars as Nick Searcy, MMA superstar Cowboy Cerrone and stand-up Tyler Fischer. Travis Mills has Matthias Hues, Rhys Becker and Izzy Marshall are also part of the cast. Jeremy Gauna is Thomas White Eagle.
The trailer shows Carano fighting with a knife and hoisting a shotgun. In the clip, her character declares that she is going to pack the wagon and get our children out from this God-forsaken land. The Western will be released this summer. According to the company, streaming of the Western will only be available on DailyWire.com to DailyWire members.
Jeremy Boreing (Shapiro’s cofounder), released a statement along with the trailer launch. He praised his star and producer as “excellent” while calling Polish a world-class director. Their product is different from other conservative fare, despite presumptions that The Daily Wire will enter the film business. People will assume that we are making hyper-politicized movies, or milquetoast dramas. But we don’t want to produce Hillary’s Hard Drive Part III, or Christmas Romance in The Rockies. We are making entertainment that is top-quality and all Americans will love.
Through their production company Bonfire Legend, Carano was a producer alongside Dallas Sonnier ( Bone Tomahawk), and Amanda Presmyk( Run Hide Fight). Terror on the Prairie is The Daily Wire’s third collaboration. Co-founders of Daily Wire, Shapiro, Boreing, and Caleb Robinson were credited as executive producers along with Voltage Pictures’ Nicolas Chartier, and Jonathan Deckter who will manage foreign sales. Executive producer credits were also given to Mills and Danielle Cox.
Nelson and Sonnier will also be reunited in the film. Sonnier’s former management company, Caliber Media, had the scribe as a client a decade back. He completed Terror on the Prairie. After that, he sent it off to Sonnier and Carano. However, Boreing gave him a quick green signal from Daily Wire.
