Two people were injured in an apartment fire in Berlin-Neukölln on Monday night. A total of three people were saved, as a spokesman for the fire department said in the morning. Living room furniture caught fire in an apartment on Siegfriedstrasse.

The apartment on the second floor caught fire. Some of the fire also spread to the third floor. According to the spokesman, a larger fire on the third floor could be prevented. The fire brigade was on site with 64 emergency services.
The fire brigade had already been called to an operation in the apartment building during the night from Saturday to Sunday. It is not yet clear whether it was arson. The “B.Z.” had previously reported on the new fire.
