Dallas Cowboys legend joins forces with a former US Naval Academy football player

The first Clash race at a football stadium was held by NASCAR on Monday. Emmitt Smith, a Dallas Cowboys legend, and Jesee Iwuji, a driver, announced that they would be competing in the NASCAR Xfinity Series full time in 2022.

Smith and U.S. Navy Lieutenant Cmdr. Smith and U.S. Navy Lt. Cmdr. joined forces last year to launch a new team. Iwuji will manage a Chevrolet CamaroSS in partnership with the automaker.

Smith stated in a press release about the partnership with Chevrolet that “First, our racing team couldn’t be more excited about the partnership Chevrolet because it means so much to our fans and race team as we get our feet in NASCAR,” Smith added.

It was crucial to find a manufacturer that would not only provide us with the best technology, but also believe in Jesse, believed that Jesse is a great man and woman, believed that diversity is important, and believes in all that our team stands up for. Chevy is a key part of Jesse Iwuji Motorsports’ mission to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in racing. We are thrilled to help Jesse pursue his dream.

Iwuji was a former football player at the U.S. Naval Academy, Iwuji played football at the U.S.

They met when Smith’s company Notable.Live sponsored Iwuji’s car at Texas Motor Speedway’s Xfinity Series race. Iwuji was driving for B.J. McLeod Motorsports.

Iwuji stated that there was no more authentic partnership between a manufacturer and me than one with Chevrolet.

When I decided to race professionally, I began getting time in my Chevrolet Corvette C6 Z06, which is still my primary vehicle. This partnership is authentic and inspiring for anyone who wants to achieve big dreams and goals. This is a story that gives hope and shows how life rewards those who persevere for long enough.
Smith is just one of a growing number professional athletes who are getting involved with NASCAR. This list also includes
Michael Jordan, Floyd Mayweather and others.
