Tesla and SpaceX boss Elon Musk says he was received by Pope Francis. The multi-billionaire posted a photo with the head of the church, which also includes four of his sons.
Musk wrote that he was honored to have met the pontiff on Friday.
There was no communication from the Vatican. Musk was not on the official visit list, so he may have met the head of the Catholic Church in a more private setting.
According to Italian media, the two men talked in the Santa Marta guest house, where Francis also lives, about technology and how it could help people in the future.
Musk told the head of the church that he believed in the future of humanity and that technology would save the world, according to the Italian newspaper La Repubblica.
