Investigation and recovery work is ongoing on the cargo plane that crashed in north-eastern Greece on Saturday. The military and rescue workers worked through the night of Monday at the scene of the accident, the daily newspaper Kathimerini reported on Monday.

The last of the eight crew members was also recovered late on Sunday evening. All are Ukrainians, which was also confirmed by the Ukrainian consul in Thessaloniki.

The machine of the type Antonow An-12 of a Ukrainian airline took off from Nis in Serbia on Saturday and had 11.5 tons of ammunition on board. The country of destination was Bangladesh, the buyer of the ammunition was the Bangladesh Ministry of Defense, as the Serbian Defense Minister announced.
