(Montreal) A man was found with a serious injury apparently caused by an assault early Wednesday night in a building in downtown Montreal.
The Service de police de la Ville de Montreal (SPVM) reported that the man, aged in his thirties, was in a critical state of health when he was transported to the hospital.
The police say that around midnight 25, they were alerted by a call to the 911 emergency telephone exchange of the presence of the injured man in a building on rue Charlotte located near the intersection of rue de Bullion.
Upon arrival, officers found the victim had a significant upper body injury, likely caused by a sharp object. Transport to the hospital was provided by paramedics.
In the meantime, a security perimeter has been erected so that SPVM investigators can comb through the scene and solve this case. By late night, no arrests had been reported.
