Deutsche Bahn (DB) is currently offering its bicycle luggage service cheaper until September 30th, as the company announced on Monday. Shipping costs 29.90 euros instead of 49.90 euros.
The offer should be interesting for many train passengers. According to Deutsche Bahn, in the first two weeks of the nine-euro ticket alone, more than a million customers and their bicycles were transported on regional trains. Because of the high demand, not all passengers could always travel with bicycles.
With the bike luggage service, Hermes picks up the bike at home and brings it to the desired destination within Germany. But you have to plan a bit in advance: the bike usually arrives on the next working day.
