Climate protection demonstrators blocked motorway exits in Berlin again on Friday. In the morning, they sat in small groups in Steglitz, Tegel and Pankow at intersections, the police said. Some demonstrators glued themselves to the streets. There were backlogs on the freeways. The police were on duty and cleared blockades.

Other actions may have been planned throughout the day. The traffic information center (VIZ) tweeted: “The demonstrators are apparently moving dynamically in groups. A warning now applies to the entire motorway network that blockades can be set up selectively.”

The police union (GdP) demanded that the police temporarily take demonstrators into so-called custody to prevent “they from sitting or sticking somewhere else the next day”. This is possible in order to prevent the continuation of certain administrative offenses or criminal offences.
