Rosstat published data on the state of the market of public catering and trade in April. Turnover of restaurants and cafes is expected fell by more than half. However, the restaurateurs say that the situation is even worse. Doubts on the relatively good performance of retail trade chains say sales are down. According to Rosstat, the turnover of public catering in Novosibirsk region in April of this year amounted to 1.45 billion rubles, which is twice less than last year (last April it was 2.9 billion rubles). In March, for example, in offices restaurateurs received 2.7 billion rubles, and in December of last year this figure reached 3.3 billion rubles. The only consolation for the owners of the restaurants can only serve as a tangible revenue growth in February (23% compared to February 2019).
