(Montreal) A 58-year-old man died on Saturday after a snowmobile swerve in Esprit-Saint, in Bas-Saint-Laurent.

Emergency services were called around 7:30 a.m. on the 3rd row of the municipality, to rescue the snowmobiler, who was trapped under his vehicle, said spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec Camille Savoie.

The victim was alone at the time.

The man “unfortunately succumbed to his injuries,” she said, adding that “a police officer trained in collision investigation attended the scene to shed light on the circumstances surrounding this event.”
