Crime 19/02/20 As Moscow “smoothed out” from criminals in the Great Patriotic
To the usual law enforcement manifestations of illegal actions of citizens during the great Patriotic war has added fundamentally new – desertion, looting, spreading provocative rumors, and many others. The Soviet police and the NKVD had to work thoroughly to clean up the mess in terms of compliance with the law.
Partly (in General terms) the idea of how work was carried out by the police banditry can teach after watching the relevant episodes of the film “Born by revolution” – about the birth and strengthening of the Soviet militia. According to historical documents, if we ignore the ideological underpinnings of the Soviet cinema, was frequently looters, bandits outright when their capture by martial law immediately shot at the scene of the crime.
But such a war was plenty – in 1942, according to the documents of the interior Ministry of the USSR, Central Asia, a wave of banditry. Had to send the spetsbrigada of the MIA to identify and neutralize gangs from Tashkent, Frunze, Alma-ATA, Taraz and other cities. Problem was solved radically – the leaders and key persons-organized criminal groups were shot immediately.
As cleaned out Moscow
In 1943, the Soviet prozzk was headed by Alexander Ovchinnikov – one of the legendary police of the Soviet Union. Upon taking office, A. M. Ovchinnikov, gathered around him the best investigators and detectives of the country.
In Moscow, a war is really like singing group “lube”, “unbelted different beast” – robbery, murder, “cleansing” shops and warehouses train of Orsa… Maryina Roshcha with Tishinsky market – the hot spots.
in the Autumn of 1944 Tishinsky market cleared so that after a Grand police “frisk” for a long time lay down nand the bottom even thieves. To the victorious may of 1945, a massive gang in Moscow was over, wrote the famous chronicler of the history of criminal Mitra Eduard Khrutsky. Notorious was shot right there on the spot, the others then, after trials, was exiled to Kolyma or “Sunny Magadan”.
Forged cards, encroached on state property
One of the most common illegal acts against citizens during the Great Patriotic war was a criminal assault on the owners of ration cards. They killed, looted, took away the cards under the threat of murder or violence. Card was forged. In this regard, the well-known story of the Moscow engraver Gerasimos Okuneva, professional podelyatsya bread cards (it later, after the criminal investigation and conviction, were shot).
During the war, the level of crime in the USSR, according to the interior Ministry, has grown steadily (by about a third annually until 1944). And especially a lot of it was serious crimes. The crime situation in the USSR was complicated by the fact that the fight against banditry and other crime since 1943 were mainly beginners (more experienced police officers in the years war).
Police and security officers had to struggle with deserters, draft Dodgers from military service. In 1942, there was a surge of banditry in Saratov. As a result of operational activities associated with the neutralization of the local gangs, only Soviet money the bandits had seized a total of 2 million rubles.
… the Police and security officers in the Great Patriotic war on the entire territory of the Soviet Union eliminated the gang, which operated in almost all regions of the Soviet Union, revealed deserters and other criminals. Often crimes were committed by representatives of trade, responsible for logistics-food supply of cities and villages during the war. One of the biggest corruption cases in the Great Patriotic war in this respect is istoRiya famous Leningrad band “zigzag”, which included several Directors of food stores in Leningrad. In this case killed 12 people.
