Russian Ministry of health has registered another drug to treat complications of the new coronavirus infection. As the press service of the Ministry, the drug Levelmap (trade name of “Alcira”) became the second drug, registered in an accelerated procedure.
Initially, the injection of Livelab developed for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, but in the course of the clinical study revealed that the active ingredient of the drug is able to deal with one of the complications COVID-19 is a cytokine storm, which can damage lung tissue and a severe course of the infection with potential fatal outcome.
