New Exhibition at Amarillo Museum of Art Showcases Photography as Art

AMARILLO, Texas – The Amarillo Museum of Art (AMoA) is set to debut a new exhibition titled “Photography is Art.” Running from June 12 to August 11, the exhibit will be held at the museum’s Washington Street campus on Amarillo College.

The showcase aims to highlight the evolution of photography as a form of art and how it has been embraced by art museums. “Photography is Art” is part of the Art Bridges Cohort Program and was originally curated by the Amon Carter Museum of Art, featuring pieces from their collection.
