A young Montrealer member of the Canadian Armed Forces took advantage of the vulnerability of a 14-year-old girl to lure her on social networks and sexually assault her on several occasions.

Alexandre Matheussen admitted his guilt on three counts Monday at the Montreal courthouse: sexual interference with a minor, invitation to sexual interference with a minor and computer luring. The 21-year-old was a member of the Canadian Armed Forces when he was arrested in January 2022.

It was on the Snapchat application that Alexandre Matheussen came into contact with the teenager, then 13 years old, in December 2020. Their virtual conversations quickly became sexually charged. The young predator asks her for pictures of her and sends her pictures of his penis.

“I want you to choke on my penis”, “Beg me to [come] in your mouth”, writes him in particular Alexandre Matheussen.

If at the beginning, the victim makes him believe that she is 16 years old, she quickly reveals to him that she is 13 years old, which does not bother the aggressor at all.

A few months later, in the summer of 2021, they end up meeting in person. On four occasions, Alexandre Matheussen picks up the 14-year-old from her home, drives somewhere and attacks the victim once there. Once, he will even chat for a few minutes with the victim’s mother before leaving with her daughter.

On one occasion, after touching the teenage girl’s genitals, he sits her on top of him and says, “Do you want to fuck?” “. To get out of trouble, she invents having already been the victim of rape. She ends up masturbating the accused.

At the third event, Alexandre Matheussen parks in a dead end street and begins to touch adolescence. He insists on having a penetrative relationship, but she refuses on at least five occasions. The predator pulls her hair to push her on his penis and force her to perform oral sex.

Their last encounter plays out in a similar fashion, as the military goes after her. However, the teenager realizes that the accused only wanted sexual favors and demands to be taken home. He is arrested a few months later and confesses everything to the investigators.

“He feels stupid, because he knows the victim was too young,” says Crown prosecutor Me Jérôme Laflamme, summarizing the facts.

“He wanted to plead guilty for a long time,” said his lawyer, Michael Morena.

The case will return in August for sentencing submissions. Alexandre Matheussen is free.
