Around 600,000 Berlin pupils, students and trainees do not need to buy the 9-euro ticket separately. With their currently valid season tickets, such as the semester ticket or the free student ticket, they automatically take part in the 9-euro ticket campaign. The Verkehrsverbund Berlin-Brandenburg VBB informs about this on its website: “In principle, all holders of VBB subscriptions automatically participate in the 9-euro ticket campaign.” These customers do not have to do anything else to participate. A train trip to the Baltic Sea or a city trip across Germany without buying an extra ticket – this is possible in June, July and August.
