In Großräschen (district Oberspreewald-Lausitz) a 1500 square meter forest burned on Monday evening.
As a spokesman for the fire brigade announced on Tuesday, the emergency services were able to bring the fire under control within a very short time, so that the extinguishing work was completed after two hours.
A fire watch was no longer necessary, the spokesman said.
