1. FC Union Berlin beat newly promoted second division 1. FC Magdeburg 4-1 (2-1) in the second test match of the summer preparations. The goals for the guests were scored on Saturday in front of 7955 visitors in the MDCC Arena by Andreas Voglsammer (1st minute), Kevin Behrens (8th), Keita Endo (54th) and Tim Skarke (87th).

Magdeburg, who had put a penalty kick against the right post in the person of Baris Atik (32nd), were definitely superior in the first half after being quickly 0:2 behind. But they needed an own goal from Paul Seguin, son of the Magdeburg football legend Wolfgang Seguin, to score the 1:2 (33rd minute).

In the second 45 minutes, before which Union coach Urs Fischer changed completely, Union acted more cleverly. Five new signings were used in goalkeeper Lennart Grill, defender Danilho Doekhi, midfielder Paul Seguin and attacking players Tim Skarke and Milos Pantovic. Grill made his debut for the capital city.

On the other hand, the additions Janik Haberer and Jamie Leweling had to pass. Attacker Jordan Siebatcheu, who was only signed by Young Boys Bern on Thursday, was not yet in the squad.
