The President of the Moscow ice hockey Federation was detained by the police

Moscow police officers detained the banker Sergei Mendeleyev, who served as President of Federation of hockey of the capital. He is charged with premeditated bankruptcy of the Investment Bank with the amount of damage to 3 billion rubles.

According to information TASS, the Tver court of Moscow on Friday chose a measure of restraint for him and three other alleged accomplices in the crime. “In the framework of investigation of criminal case about deliberate bankruptcy of the Investment Bank with the total damage of three billion rubles was detained Gezin V. L., Mendeleyev, S. V., Yusufov, R. G. and Zaitsev, S. Y. Decisions of the Tverskoy district court in respect of defendants remanded in custody and house arrest”.

Sergey Mendeleev held the post of President of Federation of hockey of Moscow in 2011. In February last year, he was re-elected for another term.
