In the Open championship of Australia on tennis which passes in Melbourne, completed the first semifinal match in the womens singles between Australian Ashleigh Barty and American Sofia Kenin. 21-year-old representative of USA to the surprise of many took over first rocket in the world.
the Kenin defeated the more experienced opponent in two sets with a score 7:6 (8:6), 7:5. Tennis players spent on the court 1 hour and 45 minutes. American athlete for the first time in his career he reached the final of the Grand slam tournament.
In the final match of the Kenin will play against the winner of another semifinal meeting between the Romanian Simona Halep and Garbine Muguruza from Spain. They will take to the court on 30 January a little later.
