George Kushitashvili charged under two articles of the criminal code of the Russian Federation 318 and 228, the lawyer said the athlete Alexander Degtyarev. On the 14th of February the Second meeting of the Western district court, which will appealed the decision to arrest Kushitashvili until 1 April.
February 2, George Kushitashvili and his buddy, also a boxer Hovik Hovhannisyan was arrested by members of Regardie while trying to master the tab drugs in the stairwell of a residential building on Frunze embankment. During the arrest, Kushitashvili resisted and broke his nose resguardar. Kushitashvili was arrested and Hovhannisyan was released on his own recognizance.
24-year-old George Kushitashvili twice won the championship of Russia on Boxing in a weight category to 81 kg and was part of the national team. After the incident George was expelled from the national team.
