In St.-Petersburg started tournament the Women’s tennis Association St. Petersburg Ladies Trophy 2020, which is traditionally attended by many Russian players. However, not everyone is able to get into the main draw. So Vera Zvonareva and Andy Murray already out in qualifying.
Zvonareva lost in the second round, the Frenchwoman Elise Root – 3:6, 4:6. Vikhlyantseva lost in a dispute with a compatriot Vitalia diatchenko – 6:7, 4:6. Besides Dyachenko part of the tournament Lyudmila Samsonov, who won the Hungarian Timea Babos (5:7, 6:3, 6:2), and Anastasia Potapova, which was stronger than the Frenchwoman Pauline Parmentier (6:3, 6:1). In the first round, Samsonova will play against Potapova. Rival Dyachenko was the Greek Maria Zaccari.
