Russian Sergey Shubenkov recognized as the best athlete of the last decade in the hurdles at the distance of 110 meters according to the magazine Track and Field. Second place in the ranking took Omar McLeod of Jamaica, the third was American ARIS Merritt.
Over the past decade, Shubenkov in different years won the gold medal, twice won silver once and bronze of the world Championships and European Championships won two victories and became the champion of Russia.
Shubenkov was not the only athlete from Russia, who were included in the rankings in their disciplines. So, in jumps the third was Ivan Ukhov, the champion of the world and Europe, and the eighth and ninth, Danil Lysenko Aleksey dmitrik and a, respectively. The world and European champion Aleksandr Menkov took fifth place in the long jump, and the bronze medalist of the world championship Sergey Litvinov Jr. became the eighth among the hammer throwers.
Note that on the eve of the American magazine was declared the best athlete in the high jump the Russian Maria Laecken.
