Again and again, individual Berlin police officers ask unauthorized personal data of citizens in their internal computer systems.

In the past few years, between 15 and 24 investigations have been initiated for this reason, as can be seen from a response from the Senate to a request from the left. In 2022 there were already 10 investigations into such violations of data protection. In many cases, fines were imposed on the police officers, and part of the investigations were dropped.
