(Montreal) Montreal police have opened another investigation into shots fired at a residential building, this time in the borough of Pierrefonds-Roxboro, in the northwest of the city.

Reports passed around 11:15 p.m. Thursday evening to the 911 emergency call center indicated that at least one person opened fire in the direction of a residence on 16th Street, near the intersection of 15th Avenue, in the Roxboro district.

Upon their arrival in the mainly residential area, officers from the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) found that a house showed traces of projectiles. Shortly after, they found shell casings on the ground.

There were no injuries and no suspects were seen.

The SPVM therefore deployed members of its canine unit and forensic identification technicians to gather information that could be useful to its investigators in resolving this case.
