Edelman known as Jones’a True first-round draft select’

The New England Patriots quarterback situation is starting to heat up following newcomer Mac Jones received excellent reviews from training camp this week and also former star wide receiver Julian Edelman will see this being a battle for Cam Newton.

Edelman stated on The Michael Irvin Podcast Thursday that although Newton is a gifted quarterback, he is likely to be contested by a few of the very best signal-callers in this season’s draft class.

“Cam works difficult. We have ta find out if he could work smart, in the proper locations, and when he does that he is gonna provide himself an chance to perform well,” Edelman said.

“You understand however, he is also gonna need to conquer the young gun. Cause the young gun is there, small Mac Attack. This child, you know, that is a first-round draft selection, that is just like a genuine first-round draft selection.”

Newton struggled to find his property in his first season with the Patriots. He did, but rush for 592 yards and 12 touchdowns.

However, all that fantastic shift within the upcoming few months.

According to reports this week, Jones was”amazing” and teammates and coaches have been”ignored” by his own leadership and techniques on the area.

Throughout the 2020 year, as the starter for its Red Tide, Jones put an FBS record using a 77.4 completion percent.

Jones was known as a first-team All-American and he won the Davey O’Brien Award as the nation’s top quarterback.

If he keeps this up on the expert field, Jones could give Newton a run for his money.
