After the death of a 27-year-old in an apartment in Berlin, an arrest warrant was issued against her nurse. A spokesman for the Berlin public prosecutor’s office announced on Tuesday that the 45-year-old was being investigated for bodily harm resulting in death. The woman is in custody. She was arrested on Monday in Wolgast in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.

A day earlier, the 27-year-old in need of care was found dead in her Berlin apartment. She choked on porridge, according to prosecutors, who found the body to be autopsied.

According to the spokesman for the authorities, the young woman was found by her parents in the apartment in Prenzlauer Berg. She was housed there for about a week and should have been brought back for the weekend. When this did not happen, the parents went to the nurse’s apartment last Sunday – and found the body.
