Albert Pujols will probably be released on Thursday from the Los Angeles Angels, a supply affirms to ESPN.

Pujols is slashing .198/ / .250/.372 in 92 plate appearances this season with five home runs and 12 RBIs.

Pujols’ 10-year, $240 million deal with an Angels expires after this year. He said in February that he had not determined whether to keep on playing after this year.

Pujols, 41, batted .328 with 445 homers while winning three NL MVP awards in 11 seasons with an St. Louis Cardinals, but was a .256 hitter with 222 homers over nine-plus seasons in Anaheim.
