IBU opened a case against Russian Ustyugov

the international biathlon Union (IBU) filed a case against Russian biathlete Evgeny Ustyugov. The athlete is suspected of violating anti-doping rules.

Evgeny Ustyugov, Svetlana Sleptsova, Alexander Pechenkin and Alexander Chernyshov came under suspicion in August 2018. Pechenkin and Chernyshov was disqualified and Ustyugov and Sleptsova were found not guilty. But IBU rechecked biological passport Ustyugova, retired in 2016, and opened a new case. It is not excluded that the same measures will be taken against Sleptsova.

the President of the Union of biathletes of Russia Vladimir Drachev has confirmed the fact of excitation of business against Ustyugov. However, he said that he found out about it by accident. SBR to prepare a letter to the international biathlon Union with the request to explain the situation.
