Benfica Lisbon have agreed to transfer Darwin Nunez to Liverpool FC. The Portuguese first division club announced on Monday that the 22-year-old international from Uruguay will join coach Jürgen Klopp in the Premier League for a transfer fee of 75 million euros. With bonus payments, the transfer volume could increase to 100 million euros. Nunez has yet to sign his contract with the Reds.

Nunez is considered Liverpool’s successor to Sadio Mané, who is under discussion at Bayern Munich. According to media reports, the German soccer record champion has already made two offers for the Senegalese, which the Reds rejected as too low.
