After completing a major tournament in the Dutch Wijk aan Zee international chess Federation has published a new rating list of the leading grandmasters of the world. It is headed by world champion and second runner-up tournament in the Netherlands, Magnus Carlsen. Russians Alexander Grischuk and Ian Nepomniachtchi are in the 4th and 5th places respectively.
the American of Italian origin, Fabiano Caruana, who single-handedly won in Wijk aan Zee, occupies the second place of classification: Carlsen 2872 points, Caruana – 2822. Third place the representative of China Ding Liren (2805). Next are Grischuk (2777) and Nepomniachtchi (2774).
