Before the conclusion of the G7 summit in Bavaria, US President Joe Biden will meet again with Chancellor Olaf Scholz. French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson are also scheduled to attend the meeting on Tuesday at 10 a.m., according to the White House schedule.

After that, the last meeting of the summit will take place at Schloss Elmau in the morning. Biden wants to make his way to Madrid on Tuesday afternoon.

There he meets the Spanish President Pedro Sánchez and King Felipe VI. Biden will attend the NATO summit in the Spanish capital on Wednesday and Thursday. As with the G7, the focus will again be on Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine.

Biden and Scholz met for bilateral talks shortly before the start of the G7 summit. They had invoked the unity of the West in the face of the Russian invasion. Biden had emphasized that Germany was one of the United States’ closest allies.
