Olga Podchufarova won’t be able to help the national team of Slovenia at the upcoming world Championships. The athlete did not have time to change sports citizenship.
Olga Podchufarova, part of the national team of Russia, in 2019 has decided to resume his athletic career, but as part of the Slovenian team. The international biathlon Union (IBU) gave approval for the change of sport nationality.
But the Slovene side did not manage to timely submit to the Russian citizenship. Podchufarova won’t be able to help to make the world Cup. “Due to some administrative requirements she has not yet granted citizenship. I hope that soon it will be settled,” said TASS, the Chairman of the biathlon Committee of the Association of ski sports of Slovenia Blessed by Repins.
the world Championships will be held from 13 to 23 February in the Italian Anterselva.
