By beating FC Bayern Munich, the Baskets Bonn have reached the decisive game for entry into the playoff finals of the basketball Bundesliga. The Rhinelanders also won the second away game in the Euroleague quarter-finalists on Tuesday with 83:80 (48:47) and equalized in the “best-of-five” series to 2:2. Alba Berlin’s opponent in the final will be determined on Wednesday (8.30 p.m./Sport1 and Magentasport) in Bonn. The first final in Berlin is scheduled for Friday evening (8:30 p.m.).

Both teams played evenly until the break. If a team managed to break away for a short time, the opponent always had the right answer ready. Apart from Bonn’s 8-2 lead at the start, no club was more than three points ahead.

Even if the hosts came out of the dressing room a little better (60:56/25th minute), the Bonn team turned up the heat, especially towards the end of the third half. Jeremy Morgan led the Baskets with spectacular baskets with a 10:0 run to a 66:60 (28th).

Bonn went into the final quarter with a narrow lead, but Bayern always stayed close. Munich’s Nihad Djedovic made it 70-70 with three points six minutes before the end. Coach Tuomas Iisalo’s team responded with a brilliant eight points in a row (37th).
