According to authorities, Sunday’s third victim was killed in violent attack by an electrician who used a knife and a baseball bat to kill three of his co-workers. Another victim was injured at their Florida home. According to Polk County Sheriff’s officers, Shaun Runyon, an electrician, got into an argument with his supervisor on Friday and punched the man before fleeing from the job site. Sheriff Grady Judd stated that he returned to his Davenport residence, where he was temporarily staying with his coworkers, and beat one victim to death while he was sleeping, killed another on the front porch, and chased another victim into town, beating him with a bat. The fourth victim sustained serious injuries and died later at the hospital. Unharmed, another man, his wife, and their 7-year old daughter managed to escape. Authorities have not released the names of the victims. Runyon was living with seven of his co-workers, their families, and a Pennsylvania company, J & B Electric, Inc. He was charged with three counts first-degree murder and one count aggravated battery. It wasn’t immediately clear whether he retained a lawyer to discuss the charges. According to the sheriff, Runyon fled the house and turned up at the home hours later, dressed in bloody clothes, telling them that he had been raped. Judd stated that Runyon discarded his bloody clothes at home and was urged to go to the hospital. He was later taken into custody.
