After a dead body was found in a forest in Rüdersdorf (Märkisch-Oderland) in mid-May, a 41-year-old is in custody. The police arrested the man on Tuesday, and the Strausberg district court issued an arrest warrant for him for murder, the police and prosecutors announced on Thursday.
The man from Jänickendorf (Oder-Spree) is urgently suspected of having killed a 27-year-old from Rüdersdorf. He has denied the allegation. According to further information, the man is already known to Jäger and the police. In 2019 he was fined for violating the gun law.
